1. Current approach
This website uses optional Google Analytics 4 with measurement ID G-C0VW3F2HH9. The Google tag is blocked by default and is loaded only after the visitor selects “Accept analytics”. Rejecting analytics or making no choice sends no request to Google Analytics. No advertising tag, retargeting pixel, embedded social tracker or external font service is included in this build.
2. What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small text file stored by a browser. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels and identifiers. Some storage is necessary to provide a requested function or remember a privacy choice; analytics storage requires prior permission under the approach used on this website.
3. Cookies used by this website
The public pages, navigation, contact form and audit-scope builder work without analytics cookies. After a visitor accepts or rejects analytics, a necessary first-party cookie records that choice so the banner does not repeatedly appear.
| Name | Provider | Category | Purpose | Duration | When used |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
seo_sem_consent | SEO SEM Online | Strictly necessary | Stores the consent-banner version and whether analytics was accepted or rejected | 180 days | After either choice |
_ga | Google Analytics | Analytics | Distinguishes browser instances for audience measurement | Up to 180 days | Only after acceptance |
_ga_C0VW3F2HH9 | Google Analytics | Analytics | Persists session state for this GA4 data stream | Up to 180 days | Only after acceptance |
Hosting, firewall, load-balancing or security services may use additional strictly necessary mechanisms depending on the production host. Those services must be checked at launch and this table updated when their behaviour differs.
4. How consent works
- Analytics storage, advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalisation start as denied.
- “Accept analytics” records permission and loads the Google tag for GA4 audience measurement.
- “Reject analytics” records refusal and leaves the Google tag blocked.
- “Cookie settings” in the footer reopens the choice at any time. Withdrawing permission clears accessible Analytics cookies, blocks future loading and reloads the current page.
5. Google Analytics data and controls
After consent, Analytics may receive page and referrer information, device/browser characteristics, language, approximate geography, interactions and pseudonymous identifiers. The website code does not deliberately send contact-form values or other directly identifying details. Google signals and advertising-personalisation signals are disabled, and advertising consent types remain denied. See Google's Privacy Policy for information about Google's processing.
6. Browser controls
Browsers allow users to inspect, block or delete cookies and site data. Browser restrictions may shorten the stated duration. Blocking the necessary consent cookie means the website may need to ask for the analytics choice again.
7. Updates and contact
This policy must be reviewed when the hosting configuration, Analytics settings or other third-party technologies change. Questions can be sent to info@seo-sem.online.
